Mobile Ink Fingerprinting – Sheppard Secured Services
1. What is mobile ink fingerprinting?
Mobile ink fingerprinting is traditional fingerprinting performed using ink and fingerprint cards, but completed at your location. We come to you—home, office, or designated meeting place—making the process convenient, private, and efficient.
2. What do I need to prepare before my fingerprinting appointment?
Please have a valid, government-issued photo ID ready (such as a driver’s license, state ID, or passport). If an organization provided you with fingerprint cards or specific instructions, have those available as well.
3. Do you provide the fingerprint cards?
Yes. Standard FD-258 fingerprint cards are provided unless you already have cards specific to your agency or application.
4. How long does the fingerprinting process take?
Most appointments take 10–15 minutes per person. Larger groups or corporate sessions may require additional time, which we schedule accordingly.
5. Where are my fingerprints submitted?
For background checks requiring ink fingerprints, your fingerprint cards may be submitted to:
- The Department of Justice (DOJ)
- The FBI
- Licensing agencies
- Employers
- Government or regulatory organizations
Submission requirements depend on the type of background check you need.
6. Can you submit my fingerprints electronically?
If your agency only accepts ink cards, we provide ink card fingerprinting exclusively. For agencies that accept electronic submissions, we will guide you based on your specific requirements.
7. How soon will I receive my results?
Processing times vary depending on the requesting agency. DOJ, FBI, and licensing boards determine the timeline—not the fingerprinting service provider. We ensure your prints are captured clearly to avoid delays.
8. Do you offer group or corporate appointments?
Yes. We provide on-site fingerprinting for businesses, organizations, events, schools, and staffing agencies. Group rates and scheduling options are available upon request.
9. What areas do you serve?
Sheppard Secured Services provides mobile fingerprinting throughout the San Francisco Bay Area (or tell me your exact service area and I’ll rewrite this).
10. What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept major credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and business invoicing for corporate clients.
